History

Johnsons Jewellers all began with Henry Johnson who was a watchmaker in Lutterworth in the 1860’s.

His son Harold who was also a watchmaker moved to Nuneaton and founded a jewellers shop on Abbey Green in 1897.

In 1936 the business was moved to its present site on Queens road with Harolds’ son Douglas taking over the running of the business in 1946.

Today Robert Johnson, grandson of Harold is Managing Director and it is very much a family affair with Roberts’ wife Pam and their daughters Libby and Catherine all involved in the business on a day-to-day basis.

Johnsons Jewellers as it is known locally expanded over the years and is now regarded as one of the premier jewellers in the Midlands stocking many exclusive products.
