Breitling was founded in 1884 in Switzerland with one simple goal: to make high quality precision watches.
Sixty years after the company was founded, Breitling began manufacturing chronographs and chronometers for aviators. Breitling watches soon became the watch of choice for many pilots. Today watches such as the Navitimer with its slide rule is still as popular as when it was first created.
With the improvement of technology came the introduction of more modern watches, such as the Emergency watch, which releases a signal if one is lost. Using very strong metals such as stainless steel and titanium, Breitling watches are world-class precision instruments.
